From Wrexham to Shrewsbury, walk to aid return of Iraqi Christians

On the 14/15th September, Caroline and Bridget of Aid to the Church in Need UK - North West Region, will walk from Wrexham to Shrewsbury Cathedral - to aid ACN's efforts in Iraq.

This is part of a series of sponsored "walks for Iraq" - they have organised this summer. Caroline and Bridget have undertaken these, to support Iraqi Christians who were displaced by ISIS.

Both women are hoping to raise £6.000, to assist Aid to the Church in Need and the Nineveh Reconstruction Committee, who are rebuilding homes and Church buildings, that were damaged during the IS occupation.

Up to now, Caroline and Bridget have walked from Lancaster to Salford. From Salford to Liverpool and will now walk from Wrexham to Shrewsbury, to aid the return of Iraqi Christians to the Nineveh Plains.

On Saturday the 15th September, the Iraq Solidarity Campaign is doing a solidarity walk in South Manchester, in support of Caroline and Bridget and their goal of raising £6.000, to help rebuild lives in Iraq.

Our solidarity walk, will go around the Chorlton Waterpark and will follow the River Mersey up to, and around the Sale Waterpark. The walk will then follow the same route back and will be over 6 miles in distance.

People in Manchester are welcome to join us, as we show our solidarity with Caroline, Bridget and the Iraqi Christian community. You can also show your support by making an affordable donation: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/walks4iraq
