Join the Awafi Kitchen on their NYC journey to Baghdad

Join the Awafi Kitchen for a night of Iraqi art, music and food. On Thursday, July 28, Awafi will make their NYC debut at Village Works where guests will get to experience Iraqi culture, and a full Iraqi brunch. 

The Awafi Kitchen is where Arab and Jewish cuisine are one in the same. Their family left Iraq between 1950 and 1970 and while much was left behind, the culture and food went with them. 

Awafi menus are recreations of the meals eaten as children, and the stories are lesser known pieces of Iraqi-Jewish history. You can also follow the Awafi journey on Facebook and Instagram.
