Immigrant Stories Workshop

Do you have an immigration story to share? Come to this free, two-day workshop at the Arab American National Museum and create a brief video about a personal or family immigration experience. You will have the opportunity to share your video with the Immigrant Stories project and preserve it for future generations.

Immigrant Stories helps people make digital stories: 3-5 minute videos made from a combination of images, text, music, video, and audio. No previous experience is required. This workshop will teach you to use Immigrant Stories' simple web app to create your story.

The workshop will take place over two days: Thursday and Friday October 6-7 from 10am-3pm. You will turn a short written story into a complete video by the end of the workshop. All Immigrant Stories will be professionally preserved by the Immigration History Research Center Archives, North America's oldest and largest archive of immigrant life.

The project's digital stories are also shared via the Digital Public Library of America. Your story will join more than 200 videos already in the collection.
