Half a million people sign petition against Tony Blair's knighthood

Over 549.000 people have now signed a petition, against former British Prime Minister Tony Blair being knighted by the UK's monarch Queen Elizabeth.

When questioned on the legalities of the Iraq invasion, United Nations secretary general Kofi Annan said in 2004: "from our point of view and from the charter point of view it was illegal."

In 2015, Tony Blair acknowledged to CNN, there are "elements of truth" in the view that the 2003 invasion of Iraq was the principal cause in the rise of ISIS.
