Education is key to preventing genocide in Iraq

Touring Yad Vashem in 2017, Nadia Murad spoke of being struck by the parallels between the Holocaust and what befell the Yazidi people at the hands of ISIS in Iraq. Education is key to preventing genocide, equaled only by learning how to record and commemorate atrocities. 

The Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad, was in the Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem to learn how to record, commemorate and educate people about genocide. For Nadia and the delegation who joined her, the meaningful time spent at Yad Vashem, demonstrated the importance of the words "Never Again".
