Over the past year, the region experienced a number of demonstrations spanning the Arab world. Entitled “All What I Want is Life,” the latest exhibition from Dubai’s Gulf Photo Plus (GPP) showcases a series of images from photographers capturing the protests sweeping Iraq, Sudan, Lebanon and Algeria.
Amir Hazim. The Baghdad native has been documenting the ongoing protests, which erupted in 2019, via artful black-and-white portraits captured on his iPhone.
Abdullah Dhiaa- Al-Deen. Hailing from Iraq, Al-Deen is a photo-journalist for Reuters who puts his life at risk each time he steps out to capture frames.
Lana Haroun. The photographer rose to prominence after capturing the now-iconic image of a young woman, dressed in the traditional Sudanese attire, standing atop a car and leading revolutionary chants.
