Film Festival Features three films about migration and refugees

This year’s Human Rights Watch Film Festival (9-16 March) features three films about migration and refugees, and a special discussion. 

At Home in the World is a beautifully crafted documentary about children at a Red Cross school in Denmark, by award-winning filmmaker Andreas Koefoed. 


George Kurian’s The Crossing is a first-hand account of the perilous journey of a group of Syrian refugees making the boat journey from Egypt – and the waiting for their claims to be settled in Europe. 


Mediterranea is a a riveting new drama charting two brothers’ journey across the desert and sea, from Burkina Faso to Italy, directed by Jonas Carpignano.Screenings of this film are sponsored by MRN.
