The High Commission for Human Rights in Iraq revealed on Sunday, the deaths of 16 displaced children due to freezing temperatures, which have swept Iraq.
But separate numbers received by the Commission, from activists & NGO's has put the number of child deaths much higher, and over 60 fatalities due to cold weather.
The causes of death, according to medical reports, are diarrhoea and exposure to the severe cold.
