Internationally recognized child psychiatrist and expert on PTSD in children, Paramjit Joshi, MD, is Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.
She has developed materials for parents and teachers to help them talk with children about violent acts and/or natural disasters.
Dr. Joshi is also the president elect of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and is called upon frequently to help clinical care teams, parents, and teachers and entire communities help their children cope with violent events.
