Could ’Hard Times’ be Christmas number one in the UK music charts? There are many causes of homelessness here in Britain and regardless of a persons circumstances, there are also those assisting people living on the streets.
This is why US star Snoop Dogg has teamed up with the London based group Ooberfuse, to send a powerful message of universal solidarity to both the homeless and those working tirelessly to support them.
Cherrie Anderson of Ooberfuse said; “Hard Times is about shining a light on actual lived experiences of homelessness”. The songs video director was chosen for his own experiences of homelessness and all proceeds are being donated to Central London Catholic Churches, for their work with the homeless this Winter.
Reach out to the Community is an award-winning charity which is based in South Manchester and they help people who find themselves homeless or living in food poverty.
They announced on Saturday via Facebook, that they are in need of sleeping bags for homeless people who visit their community hub in Chorlton-C-Hardy because with the Winter climates, existing ones have either gotten wet or have worn out.
Reach Out always offer support to people experiencing street homelessness but until they’re offered accommodation they want to make sure that each person can get some warmth while on the streets.
Reach Out to the Community welcomes all contributions to help a person survive through Winter and these can be sent to their community hub at 488 Wilbraham Road, Chorlton, Manchester, M21 9AS.
