April marks Genocide Awareness Month and out of an estimated 40.000 foreign fighters, around 850 British people are known to have joined ISIS in Iraq and Syria. Affiliation to ISIS was only made illegal in the United Kingdom, in the Summer of 2014.
More than 6,000 Yazidis — primarily women and children — were enslaved and transported to Daesh prisons, military training camps and to the homes of fighters in Syria and Iraq, where they were raped, beaten, sold and locked away.
Of all the British people who joined Islamic State, not one has been brought to justice for war crimes against the Iraqi or Syrian people, upon their return to the United Kingdom. Please contact your MP and demand that justice be carried out.
