Looking to the Moon and stars in Liverpool, Australia

On Saturday 20th July, members of the Iraqi community in Liverpool, Australia, joined the world wide Apollo 11 celebrations and marked 50 years of the moon landing.

By using telescopes provided by the MacArthur Astrology Society, this picture of the moon was taken by Lily Siddawi, who as part of the Giant Leap Exhibition - at the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre - was able to capture the moon in all its glory.

It was on the moon's surface, where astronaut Neil Armstrong stated in 1969: "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."
