Standing watch, AMAR welcomes the Lamassu to London

People going to the new Fourth Plinth sculpture, ‘The Invisible Enemy Should Not Exist’ by Michael Rakowitz, might be interested to know, London is home to the AMAR International Charitable Foundation, the award winning British-Iraqi charity, who for 25 years have been working non-stop to help people across Iraq.

AMAR was founded by Baroness Emma Nicholson, who along with her humanitarian efforts for the Iraqi people, has for decades also championed the cause of Iraq’s historic marshlands and sites. Twenty five years after starting the AMAR Foundation, Baroness Nicholson still leads AMAR.

Like the Lamassu now overlooking Trafalgar Square in London, the efforts of AMAR will help Iraq to develop, prosper and build a new future. As AMAR have stated, along with their presence at the unveiling of the sculpture on the 28/3/2018: “We’re excited to know that millions of visitors to the Fourth Plinth, will have their attention drawn to Iraq.”
