For children growing up in war, conflict or with the threat of violence, the world is a dangerous place. In countries where Christians are persecuted, children are ‘collateral damage’ in the overall brutality – and the numbers run to millions.
In the leadup to #RedWednesday (20th November), ACN are calling for action and they need our help! This year, I’m supporting #RedWednesday in memory of Father Colin Wright, a beloved South Manchester priest who was also an ACN supporter.
Father Wright followed Aid to the Church in Needs work across Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and the Holy Land, supporting and educating others in Manchester about ACN’s efforts to assist communities, in area’s where it matters most.
From immediate needs, through to spiritual support and aiding reconstruction efforts, Aid to the Church in Need are standing with the people of the Middle East. This approach allows families and communities to rebuild their lives and remain as one.
In exchange for all donations, on the 20th November and to mark #RedWednesday, I’m going to run 10K to remember the life of Father Colin Wright and to honor his universal message of peace and solidarity with people across the Middle East region.
