Stepping forward with the AMAR Foundation in Iraq

Since 1991, the AMAR International Charitable Foundation have been taking great steps towards a better future for everyone in Iraq. Their work with Iraq’s women and girls has also earned them recognition from international bodies which includes the World Health Organization. As AMAR’s founder Baroness Emma Nicholson once stated: “We have been working for many years, to help millions of the worst off in the Middle East.“ 

Across Basra, the AMAR International Charitable Foundation are safeguarding people’s lives and throughout January, they have provided over 21,000 medical consultations alone. AMAR have also made over 6,000 visits to women in Basra, to maintain high levels of healthcare for those in various stages of pregnancy and to monitor other health related conditions.
