AMAR's efforts in education, achieve outstanding results

It is the end of year graduation for the kids at the AMAR International Charitable Foundation's School for Orphans in Basra, Iraq. The children have been celebrating this wonderful occasion with their headmaster Mr Safi, who has worked for the AMAR Foundation for over 30 years.

The school was built in 2016 and up to 30% of children who attend, have lost both parents to war or disease. The school boasts modern facilities and provides a broad curriculum, so children get the best start in life.

One of their main focuses is on reading and as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis once stated: “There are many little ways to enlarge your child’s world. A love of books is the best of all.”

The AMAR Foundation builds and rehabilitates educational facilities across Iraq, ensuring that children have access to safe, clean classrooms and also provides additional infrastructure, so the overall experience is conducive to successful learning.
