International solidarity needed for the children of Ukraine

We'd like to give a big thank you to Radio Offbeat on Manchester's ALLFM, for giving much needed airtime to the AMAR Foundation's appeal for the Ukraine. Among those being supported by AMAR are children with disabilities, who need your compassion in this time of crisis.

According to the UN, at least one million people have fled the Ukraine. As Al-Jazeera have reported, 74,000 of these people are known to have entered Romania, where the AMAR International Charitable Foundation are currently working to assist those displaced by war.

For 30 years, the AMAR Foundation's efforts in rebuilding lives have crossed many borders. This includes work in Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Romania. Today, AMAR are in Romania and are helping to welcome thousands of Ukrainian refugees as they escape conflict.
