The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has signed a contract with the Embassy of Japan in Iraq, to provide a mobile medical unit to the displaced in Erbil camps.
The Ambassador of Japan to Iraq, Mr. Fomio Iwai, has praised the humanitarian efforts that the IRCS has provided, especially throughout the Mosul crisis and has praised the IRCS response to the needs of those displaced.
This came during a contract signing ceremony, to allocate a financial grant from the Government of Japan, to provide the mobile medical unit for displaced people in Erbil.
"This financial grant aims to help Iraqi people who have been displaced.
The Iraqi Red Crescent Society plays a distinctive role in providing assistance to the displaced, especially during the displacement operations from Mosul city’’ said Mr. Fumio Iway the Japanese Ambassador in Iraq .
The President of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society Dr. Yaseen Al-Mamouri who signed the contract has expressed his gratitude to the Embassy of Japan in Iraq and the Government of Japan, saying the IRCS thanks the Embassy and the Government of Japan, for its humanitarian actions in helping the Iraqi people.
