The early years experiences of children in refugee and migrant families

This seminar will bring together policy makers and practitioners and look at what we know about the early years’ experiences of new migrants and refugees. Specifically, the seminar will look at: Patterns of arrival in different parts of the UK. 

Evidence about the uptake and patterns of use of free early education and children’s centre services among new migrant communities Ways that the uptake of early years’ services can be improved in groups that are under-utilising them. 

There will be invited speakers from the Department for Education and local authorities. Additionally, the Family and Childcare Trust will be launching a report on new migrant families and early years services.
